Q6 – Private amenity space – Barn Hotel special meeting questions

This is one of eleven questions posed to the prospective developer for the plans at the former Barn Hotel at our special public meeting on 23 October 2024.

Written answer

Given the importance of private amenity space for all of the new residents, but particularly the family homes where it is likely that they will have young children, how has the developer addressed the provision of adequate outdoor space, such as gardens or balconies, for the proposed new homes?

The proposals have been designed to achieve the private amenity requirements for the London Plan in the majority of cases.  Where possible, private gardens have been provided.  Within our viability calculations we have also allowed for a contribution towards Open Space and Recreation Facilities that will support further amenity provision.
