We arranged a special meeting to discuss Lidl’s plans for building a new supermarket on the site of The Orchard hotel and restaurant in detail. Lidl’s planners and specialists agreed to join us, and they gave an overview presentation on their plans, before answering residents’ questions.
We collected dozens of questions from residents, and combined them into groups so that we could produce a list of questions to ask Lidl.

We also have our regular in-person Annual General Meeting at Winston Churchill Hall on Tuesday 9 April: the Lidl proposals for The Orchard are sure to come up, but the public consultation on the plans is open only until 20 March and we’ll be able to cover more topics with Lidl’s representatives in a dedicated meeting.
