A new peer-led support group, “Heads Up!“, has been formed in Ruislip to provide a safe space for men to talk about their mental health.
With suicide being the biggest killer of men under 50, the group aims to break the stigma and encourage men to talk through their issues rather than bottle them up. It is open to all men from the community over the age of 18, whether they are personally struggling with mental health or supporting someone who is.
The meetings are informal and designed to create a friendly, relaxed environment where men can openly support each other without judgement. The facilities at the Social Club, such as pool and darts, will be available to help facilitate conversation.
This valuable community initiative has been launched with support from the Wealdstone FC Foundation and Head In The Game.
Meeting Details:
When: Every Wednesday, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Ruislip Social Club
