The local charity that runs the Elm Park Club in Ruislip Manor and the Tudor Club in Eastcote has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) 2022. This is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is the equivalent to an MBE. It is one of the 244 voluntary groups to receive the award this year.

At each Club, a number of volunteers support the small staff team, required to ensure the meal every weekday, and provide a welcoming place for the over 60s to meet and enjoy a subsidised meal and take part in activities both during the week and at the weekends.
