Welcome to the brand new ‘Audiobook Town Crier’ from the Ruislip Residents’ Association!
How the Idea Was Born
The idea started with a simple chat down at the allotments. A neighbour mentioned he missed reading the magazine because his eyesight was no longer up to it – and we quickly realised he wouldn’t be the only one.
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. For anyone in Ruislip who finds reading print difficult, what better answer than having our community read the magazine to them?

We are proud to present our first-ever audio version of the Town Crier magazine. It is voiced by the article authors themselves alongside a wonderful team of volunteer voices. A huge thank you to all of the volunteer voices for helping bring this crazy idea to life!

Don’t receive the print version?
Ideally, every household in our area should receive a physical copy of the full-colour Town Crier twice a year. If you don’t receive a copy, it may be that we don’t have a Road Steward to cover your area (which is especially true for blocks of flats). We are always looking for people to volunteer as Road Stewards—if you’d like to receive the magazine and help your neighbours get it too, why not volunteer to deliver?
