All our local schools are at the heart of the community and every one of them feels it is important to engage with its local residents. To help bring this about Bishop Winnington-Ingram CofE Primary School has recently launched its new ” Stay and Play” session. This is a Baby and Toddler Group suitable for children up to four years of age which is held in the school hall every Tuesday from 1.30pm to 3.00pm.
The Head of School, Mrs Clare Rodenas, and her staff at their Nursery, are acutely aware that parenthood can be a challenging experience, particularly with a first child. Some new parents do not always have close family and friends living near them to talk to when they have problems with a young child’s sleeping

and feeding etc. This can cause a feeling of isolation, not just for mothers but also fathers, and having a place where they can meet, chat and have some relaxation is a God’s send. In addition there is free tea or coffee with a biscuit provided.
Ruislip Residents’ Association is pleased to spread the word about this very worthwhile venture for the school’s local community. Mrs Rodenas said:“ It would be wonderful to welcome some new families from the wider community into school.”
The RRA wishes Stay and Play every success and hopes that local families will take up the school’s offer to have fun and meet new friends who are going on the same journey as they are.
