‘The Range’ has opened in South Ruislip, replacing the recently-closed Homebase shop

The Range was officially opened on Friday 21st March by Ruislip councillor and Hillingdon Deputy Mayor Philip Corthorne, on Victoria Road in the old Homebase building between Tapi Carpets and Currys.  Stocking a broad selection of products for home, garden, and leisure, it has certainly been busy on its opening weekend.

Happily the staff from Homebase were retained and transferred over to The Range, and as anyone who has visited the shop will be able to testify, they have certainly been busy with stocking the shelves: it must have been quite the logistical exercise.

Cllr Corthorne posted to Facebook on Friday:

For those who have been posting about The Range in Victoria Road, it was my privilege to open the store this morning on behalf of the Mayor. The Homebase name remains for the garden centre and there is a much wider stock range than before. Great that the former Homebase staff have transferred over with extra jobs created too. Enjoyed meeting some old friends and familiar faces too!
