On Wednesday, May 15th. as part of Prime Minister’s Question Time, local MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip (which also includes Ruislip Manor), Steve Tuckwell, asked the Prime Minister to join him in “congratulating Uxbridge College which has recently entered into a pioneering partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.” He explained that this was groundbreaking work for the further education sector and will have great benefits for local students.
The Prime Minister responded by congratulating Uxbridge College and the West London Institute of Technology on their collaboration with MIT. He continued by saying that this was “equipping students with the skills of the future that local businesses require.”
Uxbridge College already offers a diverse range of apprenticeships for local young people and this news may encourage them to consider applying for a place. Ruislip is lucky to have a further education college like Uxbridge College that currently has a good reputation for post sixteen opportunities and continues to look to the future.
