On November 18th Ladybankes Primary School achieved The Wellbeing Award for Schools from Optimus Education and the National Children’s Bureau. This was a year long project to validate all the projects the school already have in place to support their school community and what additional events they could include to enhance their offer.
During the past year the school held numerous events which included regular supportive coffee mornings for their families. All children from Nursery to Year 6 had Worries to Wellbeing workshops. They also marked special days or weeks such as Children’s Mental Health Week with a variety of activities.
Mrs Kate Needs, Headteacher, and all her dedicated staff should be congratulated for achieving this important award through their joint effort. Ladybankes Primary School not only professionally delivers the subject syllabus but helps each pupil to become rounded, happy and confident young people who are well prepared to face future challenges. Well done!!
