Ruislip Residents' Association

Planning

Ruislip Residents’ Association  monitors all new Planning Applications in our area.   Most applications are uncontentious, but there are a growing number giving rise to concern given their likely impact on surrounding properties particularly those replacing family homes with blocks of flats.

We support our members with advice and expertise.   When there is widespread concern to a planning application we would seek to support those concerns providing there are sustainable grounds for doing so.   The Council can only refuse applications if they do not conform with current guidelines, so success depends on knowing the current legislation and tailoring objections to suit.
This page will provide news on major planning applications in Ruislip and background information on relevant topics

Complexity of planning issues:
Some applications do not need planning consent, e.g. permitted development.   Some applications are delegated to Planning Officers and others are heard by the Council’s full Planning Committee, usually where contentious.  Sometimes members of the public can address the Planning Committee with their concerns.
